URL Mapping and Tagging Your Data

Categorizing and tagging your data is one of the best way to quickly perform searches, filters, and reports. You’re now able to associate specific URLs or a wide range of URLs using a wildcard values into designated verticals. By grouping your incoming data into verticals through the URL Mapping feature, you will be able to utilize these verticals within the inventory searches and outgoing campaign filters options.

The URL Mapping feature is located under the Administration portion of the navigation bar.
URL Mapping

It’s incredibly easy to map a specific URL or URLs to a vertical. All that is required is you insert the URL or multiple URLs separated by commas (,) into the URL Wildcard box, and then select which vertical you would like these URLs to be mapped to and hit the Add button.
Example

It is also possible to add wildcard values instead of complete URLs to the URL Mappings. These wildcard values will associate any URL with the wildcard value into the designated vertical. The proper format for wildcard usages is to place an asterisk (*) symbol before the wildcard value. Example: “*wildcardvalue”
Wildcard
In the example above the wildcard is “*Auto” and it has been associated with the “Auto” vertical.

Once a URL Mapping has been set up, if a lead passes into the system with a posturl that has a mapping is set up, it will tag the record with the specified vertical under the “xSelect1” value. Under the lead details you’re able to view what category a lead was associated into by locating the xSelect1 field and seeing the category to the right.
