Back Dating Records To The Original Capture Date
Not all data coming into your Waypoint Software system will be real time leads that you’re company is generating. Often times you’ll have publishers posting over legacy or aged data with the original capture date and time of the record and you will want to backdate this data inside your system so you can query by it’s original capture date. We’ve recently rolled out a new field called origintime . This field allows your provider to pass the original capture date of the record in on the string, and Waypoint Software will then take the date and time from this field and update the InsertTime of the record. By doing this the system will place the record into the original capture date inside the system and allow you to search based on the original capture instead of the date the lead was sent to your instance.
However, there are a few things to note if your providers will be utilizing the Origintime field.
1. The required format for origintime is: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS
**(Partial formats are accepted as long as YYYY-MM-DD are passed the record will be back dated)**
2. If anything other than the required date format is passed into the origintime field, it will be stored but it will not update the inserttime or backdate the record.
3. Any records passed with an original capture date older than 10 days will not be inserted into the assignment queue and delivered to your providers as these records are considered as aged data. For example if today is the 15th of the month, any records passed before the 5th will not be delivered to your clients.
